LOS ANGELES -- As the practice court doors opened Tuesday on the UCLA campus, Warriors star Steph Curry was seen with an ice bag wrapped around the outside of his left calf while he walked to the training table.
There still is no set timetable for when Curry will return to game action, though he did take a small but important step forward two days before the Warriors' first game following the NBA All-Star break.
After Golden State concluded practice, Curry stepped on the floor to the side and took shots for his first non-contact court work since sustaining a left lower leg injury on Feb. 4 in the Warriors' win over the Dallas Mavericks at Chase Center.
"First time on the court, so he'll do a few things lightly and see where he goes from there," coach Steve Kerr said.
Curry proceeded to get worked on by Danielle Langford, the Warriors' manager of player rehabilitation, on the trainer's table to the side.
The Warriors' lone All-Star this season has missed the last five games to his leg injury. Golden State has gone 2-3 in that span, and will look to find more wins without Curry starting Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena.
He isn't the only player the Warriors won't have in their first game back from their week-plus break. Andrew Wiggins is not with the team and isn't likely to play Thursday. Wiggins is dealing with a family matter, and the Warriors don't have an exact date of when he's expected to be back.

Gary Payton II still is weeks from being re-evaluated as he rehabs a core muscle issue/adductor strain. Payton was in Warriors practice gear and went through rehab Tuesday, including resistance band work and medicine ball exercises.

Andre Iguodala continues to work his way back from right hip soreness and was at practice. He's expected to return some time soon, though his timeline remains fluid.
Rookie Ryan Rollins, who is expected to miss the rest of the season to a Jones fracture in his right foot, is in a soft walking boot.
The biggest injury news of course belongs to Curry. Now, he and the Warriors will see how his body reacts Wednesday and going forward as well.
