SAN FRANCISCO -- Giants left-hander Jonathan Sanchez, on the DL since June 25 with left biceps tendinitis, will be activated and will start for Barry Zito Friday against the Phillies.
Giants manager Bruce Bochy said he would meet with Zito shortly about Zito's future. That conversation could happen as soon as Monday night.

In Zito's last three starts, he's allowed six home runs and 19 runs in 15-23 innings.
Last Wednesday, in his final rehab outing, Sanchez allowed seven hits and two runs, walking three and striking out five en route to a 12-3 Fresno win over the Salt Lake Bees.
