The 49ers reportedly have added defensive line depth in free agency.
San Francisco agreed to a one-year contract with former Las Vegas Raiders first-round pick Clelin Ferrell, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Wednesday, citing a source.
The 25-year-old Ferrell was selected with the No. 4 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, just two selections after the 49ers took defensive end Nick Bosa with the No. 2 overall pick.
Ferrell played four seasons with the Raiders, starting 15 and 11 games in each of his first two campaigns, respectively, before combining to start just four games over the last two seasons with Las Vegas.
The defensive end has 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and 105 combined tackles across 58 career games played. As a former top-five pick, Ferrell largely was considered a disappointment for the Raiders.

After losing both defensive ends Charles Omenihu and Samson Ebukam in free agency, the 49ers are hoping that Ferrell can provide valuable depth on the defensive line.
