49ers snap count: Reuben Foster missed more tackles than he made vs. Rams

Inside linebackers Reuben Foster and Fred Warner were among the many 49ers players who struggled on Sunday in a 39-10 loss to the Los Angeles Rams at Levi’s Stadium.

Foster, in particular, had a rough day. He recorded just one tackle while being responsible for three of the 49ers’ eight missed tackles, according to Pro Football Focus.

Foster, a first-round draft pick in 2017, played 51 of the team’s 61 defensive snaps. He left the game in the fourth quarter after sustaining a right shoulder injury while missing a tackle on a 12-yard touchdown pass he surrendered in coverage against Rams running back Todd Gurley.

Foster and Warner, a rookie, shared for the lowest grade among all 49ers defensive players, according to PFF. Warner was the only 49ers player to be on the field for every defensive snap.

Here are some other 49ers metrics from PFF:

-- Quarterback C.J. Beathard completed just two of nine pass attempts for 21 yards and an interception while under pressure. Has passer rating when under pressure was 0.0. He was also sacked seven times.

-- Center Weston Richburg surrendered two sacks and two hurries. Left guard Laken Tomlinson gave up to hurries.

-- Left tackle Joe Staley did not give up any quarterback pressures. In the past four games, Staley has yielded just one quarterback pressure.

-- Defensive lineman Arik Armstead played 35 snaps and recorded one sack, a hurry and two run stops.

-- Solomon Thomas played 39 snaps to tie with Earl Mitchell for the team’s second-most plays among defensive linemen (behind DeForest Buckner’s 40 snaps). Thomas had two run stops.
