Anthony Edwards. James Wiseman. LaMelo Ball. In no order, it seems those three players are seen as the top prospects in the 2020 NBA Draft.
But what about the winner of nearly every single top college basketball award for last season? That would be Obi Toppin, Dayton's high-flying star. The 6-foot-9 power forward has interviewed with the Warriors, who own the No. 2 pick in the upcoming draft, and he believes his talk with Golden State went great.
"The interview call went very well. They have a great organization over there at Golden State. I believe they like me a lot," Toppin told reporters Wednesday over Zoom.

But Toppin hasn't spoken with the Warriors since his interview and hasn't worked out for Golden State. That has to be a bit concerning.
"I don't know what happened after the call," Toppin said. "They haven't reached out or anything."
Toppin, who turns 23 years old in March, is considered old for a top prospect. However, he should be able to make an instant impact on offense as a rookie. Toppin averaged 20 points per game as a sophomore while shooting 63.3 percent from the field and 39 percent from 3-point range.
There's no doubt he would be able to find buckets on the Warriors, especially when Steve Kerr wants to play small-ball and move Draymond Green to center. The real concern with Toppin is his defense. He said over Zoom he believes he will surprise teams with how well he can play on that side of the ball, but there's no doubt it's a red flag for some teams.

One thing is clear when it comes to Toppin: His parents would love for him to be drafted by the Warriors.
"Golden State," Toppin's mother, Roni, said back in March when asked by Dell and Sonya Curry who Obi wants to play for on an episode of the "Raising Fame" podcast.
"Let's go to the Bay."
Toppin likely would be a trade-down target for Golden State. Does general manager Bob Myers believe Toppin can help the Warriors win from Day 1 while improving his defense? We'll find out on Nov. 18.
