The Warriors looked like a broken team for the first 24 minutes of their game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night at Chase Center.
But the Warriors looked like a totally different team in the second half as they erased a 17-point halftime deficit and ran away with a 120-109 win
The story of the final 24 minutes was Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson carrying the Warriors to a victory they had to have in a competitive Western Conference playoff race.
In clutch moments, Curry is confident the Warriors can summon the championship DNA that has allowed them to win countless high-pressure games.
"We know what time of the season it is and we've faced a lot of adversity all year," Curry told Bonta Hill, Chris Mullin and Festus Ezeli on "Warriors Postgame Live" immediately after the game. "Even in this first half, it was nothing going your way. Had some self-inflicted wounds, so the one thing we have, Draymond's fire in the first half is the ultimate testament and visual of what it is we have a competitive spirit that is unmatched. And it's been that way for a decade.
"So for us to tap into that, we understand that we have to play better, more consistent. We've got to figure out our rotations and stuff. But that belief and killer instinct -- the three guys standing on this court, myself, Draymond, Klay -- we've done it. We know it and our guys are starting to figure it out."
Curry finished the game with 39 points, 22 of which came in the second half, while also finishing with eight assists and eight rebounds.
Green lit a fire under the Warriors in a dysfunctional first half and it paid off in a masterclass second half. While the Warriors' heartbeat picked up a Flagrant 1 foul, his 17th technical foul and had five fouls, he willed Golden State to the victory. At the end of the night, Green had eight points, 13 assists, six rebounds and was a game-high plus-26.

Coming off a costly loss to the Timberwolves on Sunday night, the Warriors' win over the Pelicans puts them back in the sixth spot in the West, half a game ahead of Minnesota and one-and-a-half games ahead of New Orleans.
Golden State wouldn't have been able to win Tuesday's game without the thick skin they've developed over the last decade.
