The Warriors and free-agent point guard Chris Chiozza have agreed to a one-year contract, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Monday night, citing sources.
Wojnarowski later reported, citing sources, that Chiozza will get a two-way contract from the Warriors.

With a two-way contract, Chiozza won't occupy one of the 15 guaranteed roster spots. The Warriors currently have 13 players signed to guaranteed contracts for the 2021-22 NBA season, and as NBC Sports Bay Area's Drew Shiller pointed out, Damion Lee's contract isn't guaranteed until early January, but he likely will be on the roster for the first game of the season in late October, meaning 14 roster spots are accounted for.
Chiozza, 25, has 57 games of NBA experience with the Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards and most recently, with the Brooklyn Nets, where he played under new Warriors assistant coach Kenny Atkinson.

In 22 games with the Nets last season, Chiozza averaged 4.0 points, 3.0 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 10.5 minutes. He shot 35.2 percent from the field and 31.0 percent from 3-point range.

With Chiozza reportedly signing a two-way contract with the Warriors, Gary Payton II and Nico Mannion's futures with the franchise are a bit murkier.
The Warriors still have at least one guaranteed roster spot available, assuming Lee's contract becomes guaranteed, and they have the full $5.9 million taxpayer mid-level exception at their disposal, if they choose to use all or part of it in free agency.
For now, Chiozza looks to be a solid depth addition.
