Porter ruled out for rest of Game 3 with left foot injury

Otto Porter Jr. won't return to Game 3 of the Western Conference finals against the Dallas Mavericks after limping to the locker room during the second quarter with a left foot injury.

The Warriors announced shortly after his departure that Porter is undergoing X-rays on his left foot and later stated that his night was finished.

Porter began grimacing when he appeared to land awkwardly after a layup, his first and only two points of the night.

Porter limped to the Warriors’ bench at the next stoppage and walked into the locker room alongside trainers to get his foot assessed.

Porter missed Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Memphis Grizzlies with right foot soreness, so Sunday night's injury is a new issue for the 28-year-old.

Over the first two games of the series against Dallas, Porter is averaging 10.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 81.8 percent from the floor. Porter notched two points and one rebound in seven minutes of Game 3.

Already operating without one of the team's best defenders in Gary Payton II due to a fractured elbow, losing Porter for any amount of time would be a significant loss for Golden State.
