Until the Brooklyn Nets receive a juicy offer and package up superstar Kevin Durant in a trade, mumblings about a reunion with the Warriors will likely continue.
Even after Steph Curry side-stepped a question about a KD trade by telling NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole that he's happy with the current direction of the Warriors' roster.
On Monday, ESPN basketball analyst Kendrick Perkins discussed the reunion from Durant's perspective.

"If I’m Kevin Durant, there’s no way in hell that I’m going to go back to Golden State," Perkins said on "First Take." "Because if he do, it will tarnish his legacy forever. If he goes back, he could help win more rings and help Steph Curry’s legacy. But his own legacy? It would be tarnished forever."
Durant opting to sign with the Warriors in 2016, shortly after Steve Kerr's team finished off an NBA-record 73-win season, slapped the unfair "front runner" tag on the superstar and, of course, inevitable internet memes. Getting traded to Golden State months after Curry and company brought home another championship to the Bay would do no favors to that storyline.
But Perkins believes Golden State also would be making a mistake with a Durant reunion.
"Look, if I’m the Warriors, I’m staying pat on what I got," Perkins said. "Steph Curry has proven and shown to us that he can be that guy to lead his team to the championship, win it all along with the Finals MVP and help young guys like Jordan Poole grow into being in the conversation as Most Improved or maybe in the near future, an All-Star.

"So, if I’m the Warriors, I stand pat. They have the culture. They have the mixture of youth and veterans. I don’t make the move for Kevin Durant."
Draymond Green has a history of, well, disagreeing with Perkins. But even he might have to agree with the former NBA center's take on Durant.
