Alfonzo McKinnie is looking for a new basketball home.
The Warriors are waiving the small forward to make room on the roster for big man Marquese Chriss, sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

After coming off the bench in the preseason opener, Chriss started each of the last three contests.
With injuries to Kevon Looney and Willie Cauley-Stein, the 22-year-old made the most of his opportunity and played very well in the Dubs' first four preseason games -- averaging 9.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 blocks in just 22.6 minutes.
This transaction doesn't come as much of a surprise, as Warriors forward Draymond Green and coach Steve Kerr constantly praised Chriss to the media over the last couple of weeks.
Don't forget that shortly after Golden State's first preseason game, a couple members of the Warriors reportedly petitioned general manager Bob Myers to do what was necessary to get the No. 8 overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft onto the Warriors' opening night roster.
The lobbying -- but mostly Chriss' production -- worked.

For McKinnie, it's a disappointing result for somebody who originally was projected to possibly be the Dubs' starting small forward this season.
But with the Warriors being hard-capped, McKinnie's non-guaranteed contract made him vulnerable.
The 26-year-old accepted a non-guaranteed training camp invite last year, and earned a roster spot with a very solid showing in the preseason.

Over a 10-game stretch from Oct. 22 to Nov. 15, McKinnie averaged 7.5 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting over 48 percent from deep. This included a memorable performance in his hometown of Chicago, when he registered 19 points and 10 rebounds.
You never know what will happen, so don't rule out a potential McKinnie return later in the season.
