The 2020 NBA Draft Lottery is scheduled for May 19, and the 2020 NBA Draft is supposed to take place on June 25.
But you should expect both events to get moved back, which could give the Warriors more time to make an important, potentially franchise-altering decision.
The latest intel comes from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Jonathan Givony:

As information gathering on draft-eligible prospects remains limited during a pandemic, many NBA teams are united in hopes of encouraging the league office to push the date of the June 25 draft until no sooner than Aug. 1, sources told ESPN.
An Aug. 1 date would be flexible, based on whether the league restarts and advances the regular season and playoffs through the summer. In that case, most envision a September draft and free-agency period based on a season that concludes around Labor Day weekend.
Regardless of when the draft takes place, the Warriors -- who in all liklihood will have a top-five pick plus two second-round selections -- are full steam ahead in preparation.
"We've never spent more time -- as a group -- on the draft as we have this year," owner Joe Lacob told Tim Kawakami of The Athletic on Thursday. "Obviously, we have a lot more time to do it. I have watched video probably of all the top players. I've watched interviews, I've watched high school highlights, AAU highlights.

"We had a Zoom call the other day where I think we had 17 people on that call talking about the draft and how we're approaching it and what the next steps are. We've got no excuse in terms of not having enough time.
"Of course the bad part about all of this is we're not able to interview or get people to come in for workouts or watch the NCAA Tournament. It's gonna be interesting. I think there's enough information out there -- and enough work being put in on our side -- that we'll be able to make a good decision."

Earlier this week, NBA commissioner Adam Silver said the league won't possibly be able to make any decisions on the calendar until at least May 1. Silver needs more information from medical and public health experts on where things stand with the fight against the coronavirus in order to have a better idea on how to proceed. This makes perfect sense.
So the assumption in regards to this morning's news is that many teams want the NBA to formally announce the draft is being pushed back no matter what -- even if in early May the league decides to cancel the remainder of the regular season and playoffs.
In other words -- if that nightmare scenario comes to fruition, perhaps the majority of teams still want the draft and free agency delayed to later in the summer?
That is unclear.
