The Warriors' regular-season series with the Los Angeles Lakers ended Monday night, giving players on both teams one last chance to catch up with their opponents, at least until a possible playoff series.
So, Lakers star LeBron James made a point to catch up with injured Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson.

The "Space Jam: A New Legacy" co-stars chopped it up on the Chase Center floor following the Lakers' only trip to San Francisco this season, a 128-97 LA win. Thompson and James are fairly tight, showing lots of love to one another on social media over the last couple of years.
Before the severity of Thompson's torn Achilles was announced in November, James tweeted he was "praying" the five-time All-Star's injury wasn't serious.

It'll be awhile before Thompson and James next share the court, appearances in films co-starring Bugs Bunny notwithstanding. Thompson said Sunday he's targeting a return within the first month of next season.

The 31-year-old won't be his All-NBA best right away, but he won't be satisfied until he reaches that level again. James will be pulling for him, at least on nights the Warriors and Lakers don't square off.
