LeBron James joins the West, agrees to four-year deal with Lakers

LeBron James is headed to Los Angeles.

The four-time MVP has agreed to a four-year, $154 million deal with the Lakers, Klutch Sports Group announced Sunday afternoon.

According to Yahoo Sports, the deal includes an opt-out before the fourth season.

The move ends four straight years of the Warriors against LeBron James in the NBA Finals. Now, to get to his ninth straight NBA Finals, LeBron will have to go through the back-to-back reigning champs in the Western Conference playoffs.

Now in the Pacific Division, LeBron will now face the Warriors and Kings four times during the regular season.

LeBron had spent his entire 15-year NBA career in the Eastern Conference. His first seven were spent in Cleveland. Then he spent four seasons in Miami before returning to the Cavs for the last four years.

Shortly after the news broke, LeBron posted a 'Thank you' message to the Cavaliers fans.

"Thank you Northeast Ohio for an incredible 4 seasons. This will always be home," LeBron wrote.
