Draymond coming off bench against Kings in Game 4

Draymond Green will come off the bench in Game 4 between the Warriors and Sacramento Kings on Sunday at Chase Center.

The Athletic's Shams Charania and Anthony Slater reported, citing sources, that the idea of coming off the bench was Green's.

Green is returning from a one-game suspension for stomping on the chest of Kings center Domantas Sabonis midway through the fourth quarter of Game 2 at Golden 1 Center.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr was asked about his rotation pattern before Game 4, and possibly hinted at a move that reporters definitely will ask him about after the contest.

"There's definitely more things to consider today given our performance the other night, given the number of people who are capable of contributing," Kerr told reporters. "We definitely have some decisions to make rotationally and you can ask me about them after the game."

Charania and Slater alluded to Kerr sticking with the Game 3 starters of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins and Kevon Looney.

The last time Green came off the bench in the playoffs was the Warriors' 2014 first-round series against the Los Angles Clippers. He did come off the bench twice last season when he was returning from a back injury that kept him out for two months.

While Green won't be part of the starting lineup, it's very likely that he will be part of Kerr's closing lineup.

The Warriors are trying to even the best-of-seven series before it shifts back to Sacramento for Game 5 on Wednesday night.
