All-Star guards D'Angelo Russell and Damian Lillard had career nights Friday.
Russell, returning to the Warriors' lineup after missing three games with a sprained ankle, went off for a career-high 52 points against the Timberwolves.
Lillard topped Russell by scoring a Trail Blazers franchise-record 60 points against the Nets.

Those two games had something in common. Russell's Warriors and Lillard's Blazers both lost.
According to ESPN Stats and Info, it's just the second time in NBA history that two players have scored at least 50 points and lost on the same night.
It's the first time the NBA has seen two players score at least 50 points on the same night since 2005.
The Warriors and Blazers met in the Western Conference finals last season, but both teams have fallen on hard times early in the 2019-20 season.
