Sergio Romo was part of three World Series-winning squads during his career with the Giants, and although he was in the opposite uniform for Friday night's Bay Bridge Series opener, he felt the love from his former organization.
Romo, now a reliever for the Athletics, appeared to have a nice conversation and handshake with Giants president Larry Baer, before getting a warm embrace from Lou Seal himself.

The 38-year-old was drafted by the Giants in 2005, playing his first nine major league seasons in San Francisco. Romo had a 2.58 ERA over 515 appearances, and also a 3.09 ERA over 23 1/3 postseason innings for the Orange and Black.

After bouncing around the league with a few different clubs, Romo signed with the A's this offseason, and has posted a 5.04 ERA over 25 innings in 2021.
No matter where or when his MLB career comes to a close, Romo will be remembered by fans as an integral part of the bullpen during the Giants' even-year title runs.
