Kris Bryant hasn't stopped smiling since he arrived in San Francisco two days after the Giants acquired him from the Chicago Cubs at the July 30 MLB trade deadline.
The 29-year-old grew up rooting for the Giants, and admitted this week that playing in San Francisco "feels right."
Bryant is enjoying his time with the best team in baseball, and he has fit in perfectly with the selfless group, moving around the diamond wherever manager Gabe Kapler feels like using him.

In 16 games with the Giants entering Friday's game against the Athletics, Bryant already has played four different positions. He has started eight games at third base, three in left field, two in right field and one in center. The Cubs used him at first base 12 times this season, but the Giants haven't asked him to do that ... yet.
Alex Dickerson knows what it's like to be traded to the Giants in the middle of a season and fit in seamlessly. Dickerson was a revelation for San Francisco when they acquired him from the San Diego Padres in 2019.
When Dickerson joined the Damon, Ratto and Kolsky show on 95.7 The Game on Thursday, he was asked how Bryant is fitting in.
"He's been great. He's super humble," Dickerson said. "Quiet, positive guy. Just an amazing baseball player, amazing person. He's kind of the epitome of a ballplayer. Little League World Series is going on right now and you see the best player on the field, they'll do everything, they'll go in the outfield and they'll be the best center fielder, shortstop, whatever. Kris Bryant kind of fits that. You can throw him at any position. You can throw him anywhere in the lineup. Heck, I'd even give him a shot at pitching at this point.

"It really does feel like he fits everywhere on the field and can really help us on any given day at any given position. It was an amazing fit for us to be able to trade for him at the deadline and get him into our clubhouse. He has been great."
The Giants had to give up two good prospects (Alexander Canario and Caleb Kilian) to get Bryant, but he's the exact type of player president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi likes. He wants versatile players who aren't afraid to move around the diamond.
Bryant is a former National League Rookie of the Year and former NL MVP. He very easily could tell Zaidi and Kapler that he only wants to play one position. But that's not how Bryant operates. He'll play anywhere.

Bryant was drafted as a third baseman and has by far his most games played at the position, but when asked Monday night by NBC Sports Bay Area's Randy Winn what his favorite spot to play is, Bryant picked the outfield position he has his least amount of starts at.
"I love playing center field," Bryant said on "Giants Postgame Live" on Monday. "There's just something about being out there in center field, probably because it's the one I play the least of. But maybe I can ask Kap if I can get a couple more games out there. I love playing out there. It's just fun running down fly balls out there, shagging balls in [batting practice]. It's just a lot of fun out there."
Dickerson is arbitration-eligible this winter, and likely will remain with the Giants. It sure sounds like he wouldn't be upset if Bryant signed a long-term contract to stay in San Francisco this offseason.
