Canucks' Antoine Roussel fined $5,000 for biting Sharks' Marc-Edouard Vlasic

Vancouver Canucks forward Antoine Roussel has been fined $5,000 by the NHL for biting -- yes, biting -- Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic.

The fine is the largest a player can receive under the CBA for the offense.

In a bizarre scene, Roussel bit Vlasic in a scrum during the Sharks' 4-0 win Friday night. You can see him chomp on Vlasic's left hand right here: 

While a Canuck literally bit a Shark on Friday, San Jose feasted on its six-game homestand, winning four games. The Sharks head to Vegas on Saturday to play the Golden Knights.
