The 49ers on Wednesday morning lost three players that they at least hoped to add to their practice squad.
Wide receiver Nsimba Webster, linebacker Justin Hilliard and offensive lineman Dakoda Shepley all were claimed off waivers. Webster landed on Chicago Bears, Hilliard joined the New York Giants and Shepley moved to the dark side -- the Seattle Seahawks.

Shepley joins a long list of former 49ers that the Seahawks have swooped in and signed in recent years.
In other 49ers news, NFL Media's Tom Pelissero reported tight end Jordan Matthews is being signed to the 49ers' practice squad.
