The 49ers made some roster moves hours before their Thanksgiving game against the Seattle Seahawks, most notably activating cornerback Samuel Womack III from injured reserve after he'd been sidelined by an MCL injury since the season opener.

To make roster room for Womack, the 49ers waived cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles, who appeared in five games and registered one tackle.

Additionally, offensive linemen Jesse Davis and Corey Luciano were activated from San Francisco's practice squad, providing valuable cover with starting guards Aaron Banks (toe) and Spencer Burford (knee) listed as questionable to play.

Defensive lineman Robert Beal Jr. was downgraded from questionable to out with a hamstring injury.

The Seahawks activated defensive back Coby Bryant from injured reserve and placed safety Jerrick Reed II, who tore his ACL last week against the Los Angeles Rams, on IR to make roster room. Seattle also elevated quarterback Brett Rypien from the practice squad, giving the team extra depth behind starter Geno Smith, who's dealing with an elbow injury but is expected to play.
