ALAMEDA – The Raiders waived rookie safety Keenan Lambert, the team announced on Thursday afternoon.
Lambert was claimed off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks, who let the undrafted rookie go just before the regular season.
Lambert was used almost exclusively as a special teams player. He played just four defensive plans despite significant injuries at his position.

The team still has recent practice-squad promotion Tevin McDonald on the 53-man roster to support starters Charles Woodson and TJ Carrie and primary reserve Larry Asante.
The Raiders now have an extra roster spot, and will have another when defensive end Justin Tuck is placed on injured reserve with a torn right pectoral muscle. That move is expected in the near future.
The Silver and Black are in a bye, and have some time to fill out the roster before preparing for a Week 7 road game at San Diego.
