We last made a Raiders 53-man roster projection on Aug. 12, just after the first preseason game. So much has changed since then, with performance and injury prompting shifts on the depth chart.
The Raiders have greater depth and talent over a year ago, meaning some guys cut Saturday when rosters get slashed would’ve been guaranteed employment this time a year ago.
There are tough choices in this projection, meaning prompting bad conversations with good guys worthy of a job are on their way.

And, while we don’t expect the drama of last year’s cut-down day -- when Khalil Mack got traded, Martavis Bryant got cut, and A.J. McCarron was added in trade -- head coach Jon Gruden certainly has some surprise moves up his sleeve.
