Brown responds to Kings players with primal scream at media day

New Kings coach Mike Brown is setting the tone early.

While he was being interviewed on Monday during Kings Media Day about Sacramento's mindset heading into the 2022-23 NBA season, a Kings player belted a scream that reverberated throughout the gym.

Not to be outdone, Brown let out a primal scream of his own, much to the surprise of those around him, as he was answering a question about being competitive.

After Brown's roar, the reporters surrounding him couldn't help but laugh in the aftermath.

"I love it," a smiling Brown said after being asked if he was concerned about the yell.

In the middle of being asked another question, another yell rang out, eliciting a howling response from Brown.

"Let's go!" Brown bellowed.

It's clear that the four-time NBA champion -- as an assistant coach with the Warriors and San Antonio Spurs -- is letting his team know he is right there with them, albeit in a humorous fashion.

With the wealth of experience he's obtained as an assistant coach under Gregg Popovich and Steve Kerr, who said that Brown's departure will be felt "deeply" by the Warriors, the Kings' coach seems to be relating to his players well.

In all, considering Brown's pedigree as a coach, Kings fans are hoping that he can be the one that turns Sacramento's fortune around, especially after many deemed their offseason a big success.

But it all starts in the preseason and so far, it looks like it is starting off on the right foot for Sacramento.
