NBA odds: Clippers new title co-favorites after Kawhi Leonard-Paul George deal

The 2020 NBA title odds constantly are moving.

After the Los Angeles Lakers agreed to acquire Anthony Davis in a blockbuster deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, LeBron James and Co. were installed as title favorites.

Then, free agency opened and the Clippers struck a massive deal Friday when they landed two-time NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and traded for superstar Paul George to create a dynamic duo of their own.

As such, the Clippers jumped the Lakers as title favorites, with the five-time defending Western Conference champion Warriors checking in with the fifth-best odds.

Those odds changed a touch Saturday when the Lakers were bumped up to co-favorites after agreeing to a one-year contract with DeMarcus Cousins.

The Warriors will enter next season without Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and Cousins, each of whom now either has left or been traded to another team. The Dubs also will be without Klay Thompson until at least February as he rehabs from the torn ACL he suffered in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

Golden State will have to rely on Steph Curry, Draymond Green and new addition D'Angelo Russell to keep them afloat in the loaded West until Thompson can return.

The Eastern Conference race also will look a lot different than last season with the defending champion Raptors being knocked down a peg, and the Brooklyn Nets being elevated with the arrival of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant (in 2020-21). The 76ers also made big changes, dealing Jimmy Butler to the Heat and signing Al Horford.

It'll be a wild NBA season and it's only a little more than three months away.
