Warriors coach Steve Kerr hadn't seen Klay Thompson's Valentine's Day Instagram post by the time he spoke with reporters Tuesday.
Not that he was surprised to hear about it.
When NBC Sports Bay Area's Kerith Burke informed Kerr that Thompson was photographed laying on a boat, walking boot and all, while "living his best life" in the foreground of the Golden Gate Bridge, Kerr revealed he hadn't yet been invited on the Splash Brother's boat.

"I have not," Kerr told Burke during a video conference with reporters Tuesday. "But I wonder: Has he ever not been living his best life? I mean, this is a guy who's in the middle of an Achilles recovery, and he's still living his best life. I think that's what we all love about him."

Still, the five-time All-Star has been a familiar face around the Warriors during that time, briefly moonlighting as a TV broadcaster in each of the last two seasons and even traveling with the team on their most recent road trip to Texas.

Through it all, Thompson has remained optimistic about his rehab and the Warriors' chances when he returns, even as it "kills" him not to play. Kerr said Tuesday that Thompson's still a ways off from on-court work, but the Warriors surely will receive a boost seeing him back in any kind of action.
Maybe Kerr will get an invite on Thompson's boat before then.
