Did LeBron recruit him to Lakers? Kevin Durant: ‘Hell no, 100 percent false’

You might have forgotten about this one, so let's take a quick walk down memory lane.

Back in late June, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith said the following on "First Take":

"As it pertains to LeBron James and LA -- we know that the reports have been that he's making some phone calls. I got two phone calls last night -- after hours -- with folks telling me that LeBron James reached out to Kevin Durant via text about coming to Los Angeles.

"I don't know what Kevin Durant's response to him was. But I will tell you what I did hear, is that behind the scenes Kevin Durant was like, 'Why would I do that?' "

Did that in fact happen?

“Hell no. That was all false. All false. 100 percent false,” Durant told Mark Medina of the Bay Area News Group. “He didn’t talk about none of that stuff.”
