Are Kevin Durant's ejections a big deal? Blazers guard CJ McCollum offers his thoughts

Kevin Durant has been ejected a league-leading five times this season.

The first one cost him $2,000, the second one $4,000, the third $6,000, the fourth $8,000 and the fifth $10,000.

Hey C.J. McCollum -- is it a big deal that Durant has been tossed so many times?

"Ahhhh, I don't really think it's a big deal yet," the Blazers guard said on his new podcast Pull Up. "I know KD. He's one of the nicest guys out there. To see that he's getting ejected from games is kind of surprising.

"I gotta talk to him about giving away all that money though. If he wants to donate money, he can surely give to the Boys and Girls Clubs and the CJ McCollum Dream Centers that we're trying to provide for young kids -- young, underserved kids in the community."

Any idea as to why Durant has had issues with the refs?

"I just feel like maybe he's just tired of the regular season and wants to get ready for the playoffs, and kind of get a break from these games," McCollum added. "He's saying a lot of words that you're not supposed to say. A lot of trigger words that the refs know and that we know as players lead to technicals.

"Last game he said about three or four in a row, and with that being said... goodbye."

The Warriors have eliminated the Blazers from the playoffs the past two seasons.

Golden State is locked in to the 2 seed and Portland is virtually guaranteed to be the 3 seed, which means if both teams win their first-round series they will match up in the postseason for the third straight year...
