OAKLAND – Neither the Warriors nor Steph Curry know what’s ailing the MVP. But they’re both being proactive in determining what’s at the root of his illness.
Curry on Sunday missed practice for the second consecutive day, after being under the weather a few days prior to that.
“He’s still sick,” coach Steve Kerr said Sunday. “It’s been a tough few days. He’s going to be fine, but he’s just not been feeling well. Calling in the doctor today for a house call.”

After coming to the team facility on Saturday, but not participating in the workout, Curry stayed home in Walnut Creek in hopes of recovering from the cold/flu symptoms he has been experiencing in recent days, including Thursday night, when the Warriors posted a 105-96 preseason win over Sacramento.

Curry’s absence may have an affect on the Warriors' progress since then. Kerr and his staff spent the weekend working mostly on offensive sets and inbounds plays but also dedicated some time to defense.
That’s mostly for the benefit of new Warriors, such as Kevin Durant, David West and Zaza Pachulia.

Though Curry is familiar with the schemes and strategies, he has had little time to utilize it with his new teammates.
“We’ll see how the rest of the week goes, and how next week goes in terms of how much he plays and practices,” Kerr said. “We’re hoping he’ll be better in the next day or two.”
The Warriors will not practice Monday, returning to the court on Tuesday, prior to an open workout at Oracle Arena on Wednesday. The next game is Friday in Denver.
