The A's game against the Rangers in Arlington, Texas, was postponed because of heavy rain. The game was supposed to start at 5:05 p.m. PT, but was called off at 5:53.
The teams will make up the game as part of a doubleheader on June 8. The originally scheduled game is set to start at 6:05 p.m. PT.

According to Weather.com, there was a minimum 45 percent chance of rain in Arlington through midnight local time.

The A's and Rangers are scheduled to play the series finale Sunday at 12:05 p.m. PT, and the forecast calls for lots of sunshine. Oakland won't adjust its rotation as Brett Anderson, originally scheduled to pitch Sunday, will remain on turn.
