"(He's) doing much better, had a good night's sleep last night," Harbaugh said. "And symptoms are positive today. He's visiting with a neurologist later this afternoon."
Smith must be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to play next Monday night against the Chicago Bears.

Smith experienced blurred vision after he buried his head into the middle of the line on a successful fourth-and-1 quarterback sneak. Smith remained in the game to complete the drive, which he capped with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Michael Crabtree.
Colin Kaepernick replaced Smith at the beginning of the next series and finished the game -- a 24-24 tie against the St. Louis Rams.
