The 49ers have selected Oregon cornerback Deommodore Lenoir with the No. 172 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Lenoir is a 5-foot-11, 195-pound corner who finished his four-year career with six interceptions and 20 passes defensed for the Ducks.

The Los Angeles native recorded an interception every year he was at Oregon. He also forced a fumble in each of his past two seasons.

Lenoir allowed just one touchdown on 24 targets and had a 57.8 passer rating when targeted last season.

Coming out of high school, Lenoir was the top-ranked athlete in the country. In his senior season, he rushed for 17 touchdowns, threw six touchdowns and caught seven more TDs. He also had 52 tackles and one interception as a senior in high school.

The 49ers clearly see his upside and made him their second cornerback taken in this year's draft.
