The 49ers have taken a running back in the past three drafts, and they could make it four in a row this year.
Wes Bunting of National Football Post says if the 49ers look to add to the position early, Trent Richardson (Alabama) won't be there. But Boise State's Doug Martin, who Bunting says has "a little Frank Gore in him," would be an option, along with Lamar Miller (Miami) and David Wilson (Virginia Tech). If they look later, they could find Terrance Ganaway (Baylor) or Bryce Brown (Kansas State). Bunting did not mention Robert Turbin (Utah State), but the 49ers will likely get a nice look at the Fremont native during their local pro day.
