Warriors swingman Reggie Williams isn't waiting around to see what happens with the NBA lockout. The Golden State guard announced via twitter that he is heading to Spain on Thursday to join the Saski Baskonia team in the Euroleague. Williams played 80 games with the Warriors last season, averaging 9.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 20.3 minutes.Williams, 24, went undrafted out of Virginia Military, but found his way to the Warriors' bench when they promoted him from the D-League's Sioux Falls Skyforce, signing him to two 10-day contracts before extending him through the end of the 2009-10 season.
Williams becomes the third American on the Spanish team's roster, joining point guard David Logan and shooting guard Brad Oleson.Other notable players to play for Saskia Baskonia, who has three Spanish Championships (2002, '08 & '10) include Carlos Arroyo, Jose Calderon, Andres Nocioni, Fabricio Oberto, Luis Scola and Tiago Splitter.
