SAN JOSE(AP)Adrian Oliver had 20 of his 36 points after halftime, Keith Shamburger made the go-ahead basket with 1:56 left in overtime and San Jose State beat New Mexico State 72-70 on Wednesday night. Will Carter added 10 points and 11 rebounds and Justin Graham broke the school record for career assists to help the Spartans (14-12, 4-9 Western Athletic Conference) win their third straight.Troy Gillenwater had 18 points but missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer in the final seconds for New Mexico State (14-14, 8-5).Several NBA scouts were on hand to watch Gillenwater, the 6-foot-8, 238-pound junior forward who struggled with his shot most of the night until his 3-pointer with 53.3 seconds left in regulation gave the Aggies a 66-65 lead. But Gillenwater was shut out in overtime and New Mexico State lost for the third time in its last five games.
