Pablo Sandoval left the Giants' game against the Braves Monday early after fouling a ball off his foot in the top of the first inning.

After the foul ball, Giants manager Bruce Bochy and trainer Dave Groeschner attended to Sandoval, who was in pain on the ground.
Sandoval reached base on a fielder's choice and was noticeably limping on the basepaths.

Mike Fontenot took over for Sandoval at third base in the bottom of the first inning.
In the sixth inning, broadcasters Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper announced that X-rays on Sandoval's foot came back negative.
