For many years, the Kings franchise was often involved in relocation rumors, from Las Vegas to Seattle to Anaheim. But in 2013, NBA owners voted against the relocation of the team 22-8, and Golden 1 Center was opened three years later.
"This year, the Sacramento Kings City Edition uniform pays homage to fans who rallied and refused to back down with a passion and connection to their team that is unmatched in the NBA," the team website states.
The bottom of the jersey features a famous quote by former NBA commissioner David Stern: "We're going to keep this team in Sacramento."
