Steph Curry's 40-point explosion Monday night was just what the doctor prescribed for the struggling superstar. 

The Warriors beat the Houston Rockets 122-108 at Toyota Center thanks to a 21-point fourth quarter from Curry, who set a new career high.

Leading the Rockets 87-78 through the first three quarters, Houston inched closer in the fourth before Curry went supersonic. 

Curry's big game comes after the Warriors' superstar fell into a slump in recent weeks, an encouraging sign for Golden State who continues to battle for one of the top seeds in the Western Conference.
