HOUSTON -- There is no timetable for Kevin Durant’s return to Warriors lineup in the wake of sustaining his right calf Wednesday night.
Durant was unavailable Thursday, when the Warriors and Rockets met in a Western Conference showdown at Toyota Center. It’s conceivable that as further precaution he could miss the game Saturday afternoon against the Clippers in Los Angeles.
“I think he’ll be fine,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “But it’s not worth the risk tonight. It was pretty swollen.”

The injury occurred in the first quarter of a 125-122 win over the Mavericks. Durant played through the discomfort but tightness developed afterward and he was advised not to play Thursday.
“He woke up this morning and it was really sore,” Kerr said. “It wasn’t even anything we discussed last night.”
Also out of action Thursday was forward Omri Casspi, who was diagnosed with a mid-back strain.
