Twitter reacts to Gavin Lux’s final out in Giants’ NLDS Game 3 win

The Giants oh-so-barely beat the Dodgers in Game 3 of the National League Division Series on Monday night.

Closer Camilo Doval recorded the final out in the ninth inning on a fly ball off the bat of Gavin Lux that might have left the yard and tied the game at 1-1 if not for strong gusts of wind at Dodger Stadium.

Fly balls comparable to that Gavin Lux fly out in #Dodgers stadium this season.

I went with 105-107 mph EV and 21-23 LA. Lux hit his 106.9 mph at 22° LA.

Gavin Lux hit the final pitch of the game 106.9 mph and at a 22-degree launch angle. Batters this season, on balls hit 106-107 mph and at 22-degree launch, were 55 for 62 (.887) with 38 home runs. The Dodgers had four such hits this year. All were homers. Lux thought he had one.
