The Athletics on Wednesday announced the 2022 tentative schedule with some traditions unlike any other.
Oakland will host the Los Angeles Angels at home on Thursday, March 31, the league-wide Opening Day. Following that four-game series, the A’s will stay at the Coliseum and take on the Detroit Tigers for a three-game stint.
The A’s first road game in 2022 will be at the Philadelphia on April 8. This will be the home opener for the Phillies.

Additionally, the A’s will face the Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, and Washington Nationals on the road.
The A's also will get their first look against the newly-named Cleveland Guardians beginning on April 29.
The annual anticipated Bay Bridge Series against the Giants will take place on April 26-27 at Oracle Park and later in the season from Aug. 6-7 at the Coliseum.
