
The MLB free agency period will be delayed 24 hours, the MLB and MLBPA announced via press release Friday.
In connection with the collective bargaining process, the free agency period will begin at 12:01 a.m. (EST) on Sunday, October 30.
The MLBPA will release the list of free agents and potential free agents at that time. Free agents will continue to be able to sign contracts with new clubs beginning at 12:01 a.m. (EST) Thursday, November 3.
