Twitter reacts to Game 6 Klay catching fire in first half

The Warriors needed a lot of players to step up Friday night in order to close out the Memphis Grizzlies, but there was one person in particular, if he showed up, who would spell doom for the No. 2 seed in the West.

Klay Thompson, playing in his first Game 6 since the 2019 NBA Finals, lived up to the Game 6 moniker in the first half at Chase Center as he went 6-of-10 from the field and 5-of-7 from 3-point range.

And the Warriors needed every one of his team-high 17 points as they took a 53-51 lead into halftime.

As expected, Game 6 Klay's eruption set Twitter ablaze, led by a few of Thompson's former teammates.

If Thompson and the Warriors can prevail about the Grizzlies in the second half, they'll advance to the Western Conference finals where they will take on either the Dallas Mavericks or Phoenix Suns.
