NHL announces Sharks' 2022-23 regular-season schedule

The NHL officially announced the 2022-23 regular-season schedule on Wednesday afternoon.

Set to open the season on Oct. 7 against the Nashville Predators in Europe, the Sharks will play their first two games in Prague in the 2022 NHL Global Series at O2 Arena before their home opener at SAP Center on Oct. 14 against the Carolina Hurricanes.

After their home opener against Carolina, the Sharks play the Chicago Blackhawks at home before embarking on a four-game east-coast trip that includes a tough matchup against the New York Rangers (Oct. 20). They then face the rival Vegas Golden Knights for the first time back at SAP Center on Oct. 25.

The Sharks' longest road trip of the year is an eight-game trip from Jan. 21 through Feb. 12. San Jose will close out the season with three road games against the Winnipeg Jets, Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers, with the season wrapping up on April 13.
