Raheem Mostert was delivered some welcomed news on Wednesday morning.
The 49ers running back will be allowed to be present in Cleveland next week for the delivery of his second son.
Mostert, speaking on the KNBR Morning Show, said he just received word from 49ers officials that the details have been finalized that will allow him to leave the team to join his wife, Devon, at the hospital near the family’s home.

He plans to be back on the field a few days later and not miss any game action.
The plan came together through the work of the 49ers’ staff, Cleveland Hospital and, even, the Cleveland Browns.
“Before, their protocol was only one person was allowed to be in the room while my wife was giving birth -- or anyone is giving birth,” Mostert said. “They made the exception for me because I’m taking these (daily) COVID tests and doing everything I can try to be back with my family.”
Mostert said his wife’s doctor has told the couple the pregnancy will not go beyond Thursday, Sept. 24. The birth of his second son is expected to occur between the 49ers’ Week 2 and 3 games against the New York Jets and New York Giants.

It is approximately a six-hour drive –- or a 90-minute flight --- to Cleveland from the team headquarters at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, where the club will stay and practice next week between the two games at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The Browns will allow him to come to their facility in nearby Berea, Ohio, for COVID testing, Mostert said.
“Kyle (Shanahan) and the organization are allowing me to, so it’s a blessing,” Mostert said.
Mostert had the first start of his seven-year NFL career on Sunday in the 49ers' season-opening loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He led the team in rushing and receiving. He had 56 yards on 15 rushing attempts and 95 yards on four receptions, including a 76-yard touchdown.
