
OAKLAND -- Dennis Allen coached the Raiders Sunday with a heavy, unsettled heart as his father was gravely ill with an undisclosed condition back home in Texas.As such, Allen left the Raiders following their 20-17 loss to Cleveland to be by the side of his father, who is in intensive care in a Dallas-Forth Worth area hospital.Allen, who did not address the topic in his postgame media conference, anticipates returning to the team by Wednesday night at the latest and expects to be on the sidelines for Thursday night's home game against Denver. In Allen's absence, Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Knapp will run the team.
