After Jim Tomsula was relieved of his head coaching duties on Sunday, the 49ers tackle sparked the conversation again.
When asked if he would be back, Davis replied:
Earlier this season, Davis posted a photo of himself on Instagram in a 49ers home uniform with the message: 'Keep that spot warm for ya boy..'

Davis, 26, was a former first-round pick by the 49ers. The team traded up two spots to select the Rutgers product No. 11 overall in 2010.
He started 71 games from 2010-2014.
