One wrong step on social media and you can become a pariah in the eyes of an NBA fanbase. Arkansas’ Moses Moody was on the brink of disaster with the Kings’ faithful when he voted for Sacramento to select Texas big man Kai Jones over him in the upcoming NBA Draft in an Instagram poll.
Moody, who has become a favorite for many Kings fans in the draft process, turned to Twitter to both explain and ingratiate himself with one of the more passionate fanbases in the NBA.

“Lol, I would love to play with the Kings I just thought it would be kind of conceited if I voted for myself,” Moody tweeted.
The 19-year-old wing is projected to go around when the Kings select with the No. 9 overall pick on July 29. At 6-foot-6, with a 7-foot-1 wingspan, Moody fits the mold of the long, athletic defensive-minded player general manager Monte McNair has focused on in his short tenure in Sacramento.
