OAKLAND -- Warriors guard and Bay Area native Jeremy Lin was waived Friday, the first day of training camp. It was not a complete surprise.
Despite Stephen Curry's lingering ankle injury and Lin's vocal fan support, he was unable to establish himself as a consistent contributor off the bench. Additionally, Golden State is likely trying to clear cap room to make an offer to a free agent.
At this point, the most likely target is restricted free agent center DeAndre Jordan.
