Warriors' Ky Bowman diagnosed with lateral ankle sprain, to miss time

The Warriors are running out of point guards.

Steph Curry isn't returning on Sunday as many had hoped, and now Ky Bowman will miss time after the Warriors announced that an MRI revealed the guard suffered a lateral right ankle sprain.

Bowman sustained the injury late in the Warriors' loss to the Lakers on Thursday night.

The injury to Bowman is compounded by rookie Jordan Poole suffering a sprained ankle against the Lakers as well. Draymond Green will miss Saturday's game against the Suns due to a sore knee, and his status for Sunday's game against the Wizards is uncertain.

With Bowman, Poole and Green out of the lineup Saturday, head coach Steve Kerr was asked who will handle the ball and run the point for the Warriors against the Suns.

"Everyone," Kerr told reporters in Phoenix roughly 90 minutes before tip-off.

It should be an interesting game at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Saturday night.
