Doncic technically is slightly better than Green from beyond the arc. After scoring 27 points and going 1-for-5 on 3s Wednesday in a 122-116 win over the Atlanta Hawks, Doncic now is shooting 31.75 for his career on 3s. Green is shooting 31.65.
The Mavericks' star also puts up way more shots from deep than Green. Doncic is averaging 6.9 3s per game this season, and 7.8 for his career. Green is averaging just 2.1 3s per game this year, and 2.8 in his nine-year career.
Dallas could have reason to be concerned with Doncic's decline from deep. His 3-point percentage has gone down every year in his short NBA career. He shot 32.7 percent as a rookie, 31.6 his second season and is at 29.0 percent this season.

That's nothing compared to Green's 19.4 percent in 17 games this season.
The two are very different players with way different roles. The stat certainly is surprising, perhaps downright shocking. At the same time, it doesn't change their greatness for what they bring to their respective teams.
